Saskatoon Pets in the Park 2015 needs more volunteers. Because of a date change this year, fewer return volunteers are available. Pets in the Park needs your help.

Pets in the Park (PIP) is one of Saskatoon’s popular summertime event which combines fun for the entire family with fundraising for a great cause.

Saskatoon Pets in the Park is a registered charity founded in 2006 by members from three local animal welfare agencies, New Hope Dog Rescue, the Saskatoon SPCA, and SCAT Street Cat Rescue, and dedicated animal lovers from the Saskatoon community. The primary goal is to raise funds to pay for medical care for sick, injured, orphaned and homeless animals from Saskatoon.

At the 2015 Saskatoon Pets in the Park they have the following events and activities:

  • Music from local musicians
  • Demos – dog agility, training and flyball, as well as visit from City of Saskatoon Police K-9 Services
  • Walkathon
  • Concession – including sno-cones for humans and pets
  • Water – Culligan coolers (doggie bowls provided); doggie pools
  • Silent Auction – over 100 fantastic deals (bid high – it’s for the animals)
  • Vendor Booths – pet-related businesses showcase their products and services
  • Pet Portraits by High Four Pet Photography
  • Microchip Identification by WCVM and EIDAP
  • Nailtrims by PetSmart Grooming
  • NEW: Junior Handlers Showcase
  • NEW:  50/50 Draw

It is a great opportunity to get out of the house with the family and celebrate our companion animals and pets. It doesn’t matter what kind of pet you have, bring them out and celebrate our love for them.
