Longboarding in Saskatoon off Broadway

By on May 21, 2014

I learned more about longboarding in Saskatoon from a guy at Outtabounds downtown. I snowboard so was interested in learning more about longboarding. He knew a lot about the sport and the scene in Saskatoon. He told me about the various places in Saskatoon where people go to longboard. In particular, he told me about the hill just off Broadway Avenue on the Broadway side of the Broadway bridge. I decided to go there one day to check it out. With luck, when I visited the hill one day, these kids were longboarding. I asked them if they would mind if I take a little video of them for my website. They obliged. They when on the teach me all about longboarding and the culture. These guys were awesome! They were very welcoming and got me even more excited to get my longboard!

They were trying a couple of tricks I don’t even remember but I am sure I will re learn them some day. They talked about the difference between doing tricks and racing with their longboards.

I had a great time with these guys and hope to take some more video soon.
