This video is about The Eagle Creek Regional Park near Saskatoon. The Eagle Creek Regional Park is a short trip from Saskatoon and offers a great secluded camping adventure. We went there in the summer of 2011 and brought our cat and dog for the first time. We all had a great time. We went there for a friend’s wedding. Our camping spot was nice and secluded from others but a quick tour of the campground showed many awesome sites. They also had an RV section but we preferred to go tenting. The park is well kept and the staff are friendly. We were able to make a nice fire in the old washing machine drum that offered one of the best fires I have had. We cooked hotdogs and s’mores and served up cat and dog treats. We recommend Eagle Creek Regional Park as a day trip or a camping trip. We didn’t get to explore that much as we were doing wedding things but the opportunity is there for our next visit. The amenities they have are:

ball diamond, camping, camp kitchen, concession, cross country skiing, fire wood, fishing, golf course, groceries, supplies, group camping, rental hall, shelter, hiking, horse shoe pits, laundry services, miniature golf, pet friendly picnic tables, playground, potable water, public phone, rental cabins, sewer dump station, showers, volleyball, modern barrier free washrooms

“Eagle Creek is located 35 kms west of Saskatoon on Highway #14 and 22 kms North on Highway #376. Located in the majestic Eagle Creek Valley, rich in history and beauty. Activities take place all year.

The park is a beautiful setting for weddings, reunions, conventions or other occasions and offers rental facilities for such events. The facilities include a church, a hall adjacent to the church with full kitchen with stage for entertainment. Tables can be set up inside and outside on the covered deck. There is also a camp kitchen located within the electrical campground for rent. This park may be a bit off the beaten path, but that is in fact one of its best features.”

“The Eagle Creek Park was established in 1963 and refurbished in 1985. During the days of the pioneers, the Red River Settlers were said to pass through the Eagle Creek Park area, often wintering along the banks of Eagle Creek.”

“Eagle Creek has electrical and non-electrical sites and tenting areas. they can be rented daily, weekly, monthly or seasonally. Each site has a picnic table, barbeque, access to central trash disposal and central water. Firewood is available at a minimal cost. There are modern washrooms with flush toilettes and showers.”

“Canoeing is a popular sport on Eagle Creek. Our Trout pond is stocked each year. Northern Pike can be caught in the creek. Fishing is not allowed within 150 meters either side of the bridge”

“Hiking and biking is encouraged throughout the park. Our park offers natural pathways to explore. You can hike to the top of the hill to enjoy the beautiful view of the countryside. For the equine enthusiasts there is an outdoor arena to keep your horses in while you camp, or you can have your horses with you at your campers in the grass camping area. Please call ahead to confirm and reserve”
