Spadina Freehouse is a great downtown Saskatoon Restaurant located right across from the Bessborough Hotel on Spadina Crescent. We went there for their 10 year anniversary a little while back and were treated to some great fun.
“Since opening in 2002, the Spadina Freehouse has had a strong presence in the heart of downtown Saskatoon. Boasting a fabulous patio, inviting bright interior and global fusion menu, the Spadina Freehouse appeals to everyone. Our commitment to quality food and friendly service is complimented by free live music 2 nights a week and accented by local artwork.
Whether it’s our signature wood fired thin crust pizza, wide variety of draft, or creative cocktails, the Freehouse can make for a fun and casual dining experience and an entertaining evening out with friends.
Enjoy the Freehouse any night of the week!”
Speedy Pizza in Saskatoon is located at #11 – 1501 8th Street East, in the strip mall beside Safeway and Original Joe’s. It has been open for several months now in 2012 and its claim to fame is its super fresh dough. The dough is hand made every day and is not from frozen. It is so fresh in fact, that if it sits too long the owner will throw it away!! How is that for fresh. I can attest to that as I had the Butter Chicken Pizza and it was amazingly fresh. Honestly, the one of the best pizzas I have ever had. He also cooked the butter chicken sauce to go as you can see in the video.

Pizza 73, located at #11-510 Circle Drive East in Saskatoon, is a clean pizza place as part of a chain of several in Saskatoon. This owner also owns the one on 22n Street West near downtown.
From their website at (http://www.pizza73.com/p73/about.html):
“The Pizza 73 Team aims to satisfy each and every customer by providing superb food, fast, friendly Service and true value.
To make a short story long… The year was 1985. It was a magical time when hair defied gravity, neon spandex defied explanation, and pizza came in one of two choices: tasty or cheap. But that would soon change.
In September, we swung our door open for the first time and introduced Albertans to our dream of delivering great value on top-notch food. Like Cabbage Patch Kids, our unique melange of palate-pleasing pizzas at pocketbook-protecting prices caught on fast. Almost over night – give or take 24 months – 17 new Pizza 73 outlets popped up in Edmonton and Calgary.
Today there are over 70 Pizza 73 stores across Western Canada with more opening soon. Each delivering on our promise to serve up a “Better meal. Better deal.” every time.
Our menu has grown too. When we started out, we offered a limited number of pizzas. Now we cook up 16 varieties of specialty pizzas, offer over 20 different toppings, three styles of crust (Traditional, Super Pan and Whole Wheat Multigrain), and three types of sauce (Mild, Tangy and Creamy Garlic) for you to create your own pizza, and prepare six flavours of wings. We even whip up an assortment of fresh side dishes such as chicken bites, wedgies, dipping sauces and salads daily.
Headquartered on the 17th floor of Canadian Western Bank Place in Edmonton, Pizza 73 continues to be a leader in technology, personnel and food products. We were the first Alberta pizza company with a Central Call Centre, which means that in every region we feed, one telephone number connects you to our operators, who then pass your order on to your neighbourhood Pizza 73. That’s why our meals make it to your door so fast, hot, and delicious.
What more can we say? It’s been a slice. Or more correctly, well over 100,000,000 slices. But through thick or thin, tangy or mild, we’ve always stuck with our original mission.”

We make our own dough from scratch, we use 100% REAL, low-fat cheese, free of substitutes and fillers. We use fresh vegetables on our pizza and our very own blend of special spices in our pizza sauce on every pizza.

Panago Pizza on 8th Street is a very clean pizza restaurant. I was impressed with how clean the entire place was when I went in the film this video. It appears to be a newer location but I can imagine it still takes a lot of work to keep it that clean. You can sit down to eat your pizza or you can have it delivered to your door. Panago prides themselves on serving pizza with fresh ingredients containing no artificial ingredients, colours or any added MSG. They have cool pizzas likes The Chicken Club and The BLT.
They also serve salads, chicken wings, breadsticks and even Panago Cucina. Cucina are ingredients to help you cook more like an Italian like oils, vinegars and dips. Click here to learn more about Panago Cucina.
They offer a School Lunch Program too. Click here for more information on the program.
